For SEO and GEO/AEO specialists
Citations are how answer engines decide who to quote.
Why sourcing became an SEO problem
Answer engines quote pages that look like they can be trusted. Sourcing is part of how that gets judged, alongside everything you already do.
There is also a plainer risk. A page that cites a retracted study or a dead link is a page you have to go back and fix later, usually at the worst time.
What we check
Every claim gets checked against the source it points at, and you get the supporting sentence back. Dead links, error pages and paywalled sources come back labelled as unread rather than quietly counted as fine.
Working at content-team scale
The useful unit here is the article, not the claim. Run a draft, look at what came back unsupported, and send those back to the writer with the evidence attached.
What it will not do
It is not a ranking tool and it does not score your page. It checks sourcing, which is one input among many.
Stop trusting citations. Start verifying them.
Paste a draft. See every claim checked against a real source.
